A Very Big Thank You.

Fear Factory, southeastern Indiana’s scariest haunted house, is now closed and we wish to thank our spirited community for their support. Since our inception, Gillman’s Do It Best and Batesville Tool & Die have generously assisted our efforts. Ripley County Drug Awareness Coalition, formerly Ripley County Local Coordinating Council Against Substance Abuse awarded Cierra’s Club a sizable grant that allowed us to spread our joint message of drug prevention throughout the county through our exhibits and advertising.  We especially want to thank the nearly one hundred Zombie youth and adults who tirelessly volunteered their time each weekend to provide safe, drug free Halloween fun. We would like to also acknowledge the help of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Batesville Booville advertising campaign that helped boost our attendance by nearly 20%.

We wish to thank the following bands and DJ’s who provided a little background music at no cost each night:

SPORK

JERRY FLODDER         D.J.

KENT HILTZ & CORPELSIDE

RIM SHOT UNION

AUTOMATION

SAM EISERT

TIM VOLZ

NOW & THEN

Thank you also to CVS, Proprints, Rae Strobel the Headless Horseman, Katie Welsh, the Kroger Company, FCN Bank, Fabric Finishing Partners, MainSource Bank, Oldenburg Academy’s O.A.S.I.S., Ron Decker and Batesville Online, Grant Greene, Batesville Community Education Foundation and the countless other “spirits” who supported Fear Factory. We could not have achieved the ranking of 5th best haunt in the state from VisitIndiana.com without all of this help.

Nearly 2300 people toured Fear Factory this year. The proceeds from these tours benefit Cierra’s Club, managed by the Batesville Education Community Foundation, which is dedicated to providing safe, drug free activities for the youth in our community.

Fear Factory, southeastern Indiana’s scariest haunted house is now closed. We will open once again next fall. Check back for tour schedule .  Caution - once you enter, your dreams will be haunted for many nights.

Once home to the Batesville Coffin Company, now home to your worst nightmare. Fear Factory, located in the old, historic RomWeber Furniture manufacturing facility, has tripled in size to nearly 30,000 sq. ft. with new exhibits and mazes filled with horror. But we have kept the price just $5.00 for those 18 years of age and  younger, all others are $10 per person.

Fear Factory benefit’s Cierra’s Club, a foundation founded by Karen Adams and managed by the Batesville Community Education Foundation. Karen's daughter ,Cierra, died from a drug overdose on July 16, 2011, her 18th birthday. Proceeds from the Haunted House are used to provide fun, drug free entertainment choices for the youth of our community.

Black lights, strobe lights, and loud music are used throughout the haunted house.

Oldenburg Academy’s OASIS group will be offering concessions in the Fright Bite Café. George & Tony’s Arcades will have free arcade games. New this year, look for dates with after fright concerts.

RomWeber Marketplace is located at 7 S. Eastern Avenue in Batesville. Entrance to Fear Factory is off of Eastern Avenue.
